Day 0:Arrival Day
When your flight arrives at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a representative from Rauforest Adventure will be waiting to transport you to Moshi. The city boasts one of the best views in the world, with front-row seats to Mount Kilimanjaro. Moshi is also home to pleasant tree-lined streets, bustling marketplaces, and your own first-rate accommodations for tonight at Rauforest Villa. After getting checked in, you can spend the rest of the day exploring the lovely hotel grounds, going for a swim, dining at the hotel restaurant, or even exploring the city. Tomorrow we’ll begin our ascent of Kilimanjaro in earnest, so make sure to get plenty of sleep.
Day 1:Londorossi Gate → Mti Mkubwa Camp
The adventure begins with a drive from Moshi to the Londorossi Gate, where the climbers complete the necessary registration formalities. From there, the journey continues on a bumpy road to the starting point of the Lemosho route. Hikers embark on a moderate trek through the lush rainforest, surrounded by diverse flora and fauna. The first day's destination is the Big Tree Camp (Mti Mkubwa).
Day 2:Mti Mkubwa → Shira 1 Camp

Highlights: First views of Kibo peak, volcanic landscap After breakfast, the trek resumes towards the Shira One Camp. The trail gradually gains altitude, leaving the rainforest behind and entering the heath and moorland zone. Hikers will witness stunning views of the Shira Plateau along the way. The distance covered on this day is approximately 8 kilometers, taking around 5 to 6 hours.e.

Day 3:Acclimatization Day at Horombo Hut

Arrive at Kibo Hut, rest, and prepare for the midnight summit push.

Day 5: Summit Night! Kibo Hut (4,703m) → Uhuru Peak (5,895m) → Horombo Hut (3,720m)

Continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – the highest point in Africa!

Descend back to Kibo Hut for a short rest, then continue to Horombo Hut.

Day 6: Horombo Hut (3,720m) → Marangu Gate (1,860m) → Moshi

Descend through rainforest back to Marangu Gate.
